Rosenbaum, Simon
(1860-1934)
   Polish jurist and Zionist. He was born in Pinsk, and practised law there and in Minsk. Active in the Hibbat Zion movement, he was a delegate to the Zionist Congresses until World War I; he was an opponent of the Uganda plan. During World War I, he worked for an independent Lithuania, and later became the country's deputy foreign minister; subsequently he served as minister of Jewish affairs. In 1924 he settled in Palestine, where he was chairman of the Supreme Jewish Peace Court.
